Crosby - Ronald L. Reinard, 82, of Crosby, PA, died Sunday (January 31, 2010), at his residence.
He was born Nov 19, 1927 in Crosby, a son of Clyde and Annabelle Lathrop Reinard Hauck. On August 25, 1950, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Smethport, he married Gladys Johnson, who survives.
Mr. Reinard attended Colegrove Schools and served during WWII in the U.S. Navy as Seaman 1st Class from 1945 to 1947. He had been employed by Bruno Graziano as a truck driver for several years. He ultimately was a meter repairman employed by North Penn Gas Company for 30 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby, the Coudersport Consistry, the McKean Lodge #388 F&AM, where he was a 32 Degree Mason, a member of the Norwich Twp. Sportsmens Club, and the Norwich Twp. Fire Dept.
Ronald was a very special guy to everyone. He loved his dog "Lady", and loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother: Jim Hauck of Smethport, PA Daughter In Law, Carol (Zimmery) Reinard of Crosby, PA; Grandsons: Forrest D. (Brandy) Reinard, Garrett L. Reinard, and Dallas J. Reinard all of Nashville, TN. And several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and step father, Lester Hauck, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Randy Reinard in 1975, and Roger Reinard in 2004.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 am, with the Rev. Thomas Beam, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Smethport, officiating. Burial will be in Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby.
