Port Allegany - Iva M. Jackson, 82, of Port Allegany, died Monday (February 15, 2010) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport.

She was born Dec 4, 1927 in East Aurora, NY, a daughter of Charles S. and Hazel I. Cooper Glase. On May 19, 1946, in Port Allegany, she married Iver J. Jackson, who died Jan. 1, 1969.

Mrs. Jackson was a 1945 graduate of Port Allegany High School and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked at the Port Allegany Community Hospital as a LPN until it's closing. She also worked at Sena Kean Manor and Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by
one son: Kim (Linda) Jackson of Port Allegany, PA
Grand Son, Brent (Lynne) Jackson of Bradford, PA; Grand Daughter, Valerie Jackson of Fairview, PA
step mother: Elizabeth Glase of Port Allegany
one brother: Frank C. Glase of Port Allegany, PA
half sister: Linda Clark of Port Allegany, PA
several nieces and nephews

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Jackson in 1972, 2 sisters, Marion L. Woodruff and Dorothy Hill, and a half brother, Robert Glase.

In accordance with Iva's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
