Obituary of Wayne Evan Tarbox

Gifford-Wayne Evan Tarbox, 44, of Gifford, PA left these earthly bonds to rejoice with our Lord on Saturday evening, Nov. 22,2014 while in Chesapeake, VA. He was born Sept 7, 1970 in Olean, NY to the late Jerry W. Tarbox and Gayle J. Tarbox. Wayne was a graduate of Smethport Area High School class of 1989. He attended college classes at Alfred State University in Alfred, NY and the University of Pittsburg Bradford. During the early 90's he worked in food services at the Pine Acres Country Club and later was employed at Zippo Manufacturing. Wayne was a member of the Moose, VFW, American Legion, and Eagles clubs all of Bradford PA. He enjoyed Tuesday and Wednesday night pool leagues for many years. He is survived by his mother Gayle Hartman Tarbox of Gifford, PA. His sister Lisa M Tarbox (Tom Rudis) of Currituck, NC. Nephews Andrew Tarbox Kloss of Gifford, PA and Matthew Kloss of Aiken, PA. His grandmother Betty Hartman and uncle Steven Hartman both of Gifford PA. Uncles Earl Stanley Hartman (Pamela) of Warren PA. Kevin (Susan)Hartman of Ormsby PA. uncle James (Beverly) Tarbox of Port Allegany, PA. Aunts Rebecca Mingo of Port Allegany and Jackie Tarbox of Roulette PA. Several great aunts, great uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Tarbox, maternal grandfather Howard Hartman, paternal grandparents Herman Tarbox and Katherine Minard, paternal step grandfather Ellery Minard, two paternal uncles Lester Tarbox and Adelbert Tarbox, and a paternal aunt Beverly Braunroth. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Hilltop Baptist Church in Gifford, PA from 1-3 and 4-6 with funeral services to follow officiated by the Reverend Max Simms. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Bradford SPCA, the Friendship Table of Bradford, or to the Rondald McDonald House of Danville PA.
