Obituary of Roy Earl Claycomb

Smethport - Earl Claycomb, 81, of Smethport, died unexpectedly Saturday (November 14, 2015) at his residence in Smethport. Earl is now home in the loving arms of Jesus. He was born Sept. 15, 1934 in Summerhill, PA, a son of Willard and Elizabeth Mock Claycomb. On Oct. 23, 1955, in Beaverdale, PA, he married Twila Mae Hudson, who survives. Mr. Claycomb worked as a sawyer for many years at both the Graziano and the McDowell Saw Mills in Crosby and Betula, PA He was a member of the East Smethport United Christian Church and enjoyed bowling in various leagues. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and all the lawns of his neighbors. He also enjoyed playing pinochle with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: one daughter: Gloria (Jeff) Wilson of Eldred three sons: Earl (Angie) Claycomb of Logan, WV, Charles (Melissa) Claycomb of Eldred, and Ron (Kara) Claycomb of Smethport Grandchildren: Chris (Stacy) Claycomb of Duke Center, Elizabeth and Rebecca Wilson, both of Eldred, Josh (Jacie) Ayers of Limestone, NY, Scott (Jade) Ayers of Eldred, Joshua (Nina) Claycomb of Kentucky, Jennifer Claycomb of Kentucky, Brianna and Kraig (Alexandra) Tanner, both of Bradford, and Adrianna Claycomb of Smethport Seven Great Grandchildren Two sisters: Elaine Buernier of Maryland and Frances Wilson of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons: Andrew Wilson and Stephen Claycomb, and 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation and funeral services will be held privately with the family. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Smethport United Christian Church building fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
