Obituary of Elizabeth J. Lyman

Smethport - Elizabeth J. "Betty Jane" Lyman, 87, of Smethport, died Friday (November 20, 2015) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born March 2, 1928 in Salamanca, NY, a daughter of F.L. Roy and Dora Halbe Lyman . Betty was a 1946 graduate of Smethport High School and had worked for GTE Sylvania in Emporium. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and upon leaving the air force worked for the Veterans Hospital in Durham, NC as a purchasing agent until her retirement. She is survived by: one son: Terry Lyman of Smethport, PA She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Frances Correnne Lyman Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 10 A.M. To 12 Noon at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove, PA. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
