Obituary of Bonnie Lee Semmel

Smethport - Bonnie Lee Semmel, 67, of Smethport, passed away on Tuesday (March 22, 2016) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born October 11, 1948 in Palmerton, PA, a daughter of Clinton J. and Mabel M. Kromer Williams. On January 15, 1966, in Lehighton, PA, she married Warren E. Semmel, who survives. Bonnie attended O.B.I. in Olean, NY, where she was certified as a legal secretary. She first worked for J.P. Kahle Law office, then for Farmers Home Administration in Smethport. She later worked for Steve Minor Law office in Port Allegany. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, the Smethport Women's Club, was secretary for the Smethport Christian Food Bank, helped deliver Meals on Wheels in Smethport, and was a co-chair for the Elf Fund Drive. She was also a past member and office holder for the Jaycee Wives in Smethport for many years. In addition to her husband and father, both of Smethport, she is survived by one daughter: Warrie Semmel Dickinson of Smethport, PA one son: Brady (Dana) Semmel of Wilmington, NC two grandchildren: Jordan and Brendan Dickinson one sister: Kathleen (John) Repsher of PenArgyl, PA three brothers: Larry (Ellie) Williams and Glenn Williams, both of Lehighton, PA, and Art (Rose) Williams of Duke Center, PA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Williams, on January 20, 2012. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 1:00 pm, at the United Methodist Church of Smethport, with the Rev. Rob Hernan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Smethport Christian Food Bank, P.O.
