Obituary of Betty L. Abbott

Port Allegany - Betty L. Abbott, 86, of Port Allegany, died Friday (July 22, 2016) in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born Oct. 14, 1929 in East Kane, PA, a daughter of Earl John and Iva Bradybaugh Young. She was raised by William and Marjorie Bradybaugh. On May 29, 1971, in Portville, NY, she married Clayton C. Abbott, who died August 10, 2011. Mrs. Abbott attended Kane Central Schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sartwell Creek Union Church on Sartwell Creek Road. She is survived by: Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, with the Rev. LaVerne Howard, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Sartwell Creek Union Church, Sartwell Creek Rd, Port Allegany, PA 16743.
