Obituary of Norman LeRoy Howard

Smethport - Norman LeRoy Howard, 79, of Smethport, passed away on Tuesday (August 2, 2016) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. He was born July 20, 1937 in Bradford, a son of Clifton L. and Eva Katherine Sidonio Howard. On July 30, 1991, in Smethport, he married Bonnie Moore, who survives. Mr. Howard was a 1955 graduate of Smethport Area High School and attended Lock Haven University. Mr. Howard worked as a logger for many years and then for Keystone Carbon Co. of St. Marys. He lastly worked for U.S. Cargo as a courier. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by: one daughter: Brenda (Timothy) Kopp of St. Marys, PA three sons: Theodore (Cheryl) Howard of Hollidaysburg, PA, Gary (Mary) Howard of Clermont, PA, and Norman L. Nagley of DuBois, PA Grandchildren: Teddy Howard, Brandon Howard, William Kopp, Robert Kopp and Bradley Kopp one brother: Dale A. Howard of Wilcox, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 11 A.M., in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.
