Obituary of Doris E. Ladlee

Smethport - Doris E. Ladlee, 80, of, Smethport, died Tuesday (March 21, 2017) in her home in Smethport She was born Dec 12, 1936 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the Gordon and Virginia J. Dickey Hackett. On May 16, 1954 in Port Allegany, she married William M. Ladlee, Sr., who died September 20, 2009. Mrs. Ladlee was employed at Speer Resistors in Bradford, PA House of Lloyds and at Jaguar Manufacturing of Smethport She was proud to have served as an EMT for Smethport Ambulance Services for many years. She loved to play bingo, travel and especially loved her dogs. She is survived by three sons: William M. Ladlee, Jr. of Smethport, PA, Wayne (Editha) Ladlee, Sr. of Rew, PA, Todd Ladlee, Sr. of Smethport, PA 11 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Kim E. Ladlee in 2006. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10-12 Noon in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 2 Bank St. Smethport. A funeral service will follow starting at 12 noon with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Norwich Cemetery, Colgrove.
