Obituary of Elaine L. Shavalier

Port Allegany - Elaine L. Shavalier, 68, of Port Allegany, died Thursday (April 27, 2017)at her home in , Port Allegany. She was born July 19, 1948 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Benjamin H. and Irene J. Kester VanSickles, On August 17, 1968 in the Sartwell Creek Church, she married Rickey G. Shavalier, who survives. Mrs. Shavalier was a graduate of Port Allegany High School. Mrs. Shavalier was a homemaker attending to the needs of her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Clyde E. Shavalier of State College, PA, Wayne A. Shavalier of Port Allegany, PA, Daniel L. (Jeanne) Shavalier of Eldred, PA Two grandchildren; Benjamin Shavalier and Kayleen Shavalier Two step grandchild: Andrew And Brian Pritt one sister: Jennie Lee (Victor) Marvin of Ceres NY two brothers: Albert A. VanSickles of Coudersport, PA, and Darrell (Donna) F. VanSickles of Port Allegany, PA She was preceded in death by son, David Shavalier, sister, Kathryn T Green, Brother, Benjamin VanSickles. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 13, 2017 at 11:00am in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany with the Rev Randall Headley, Pastor of the Port Allegany United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette Twp.
