Port Allegany - Karen A. Benjamin, 67, of Port Allegany, passed away Friday (November 17, 2023) at her residence in Port Allegany.




She was born June 12, 1956 in Bradford, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Reed Alcock.




Karen attended Smethport Area Schools and worked as a bartender in the area for several years. She worked at the Valley Inn in Farmers Valley and lastly at the Eldred American Legion.




She was a member of the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport.




She is survived by:


Two daughters: Amie (Tim) Maben and Jennifer Freer both of Port Allegany


One son: Eric Gelormini of Port Allegany


10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren


two sisters: Debbie (Tom) Bidwell of Port Allegany and Paula Mueller of Arizona


three brothers: Gary (Diane) Alcock of Bradford, Steven Alcock of Crosby, and Thomas Alcock of Port Allegany


several nieces and nephews




In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Alcock, Jr. and one sister, Connie Lathrop and two nieces Disns Fazio and Lori Krawitz.




There will be no visitation or services.
