Smethport - Marlene Marjorie Veilleux, 76, of Smethport, passed away Thursday (July 11, 2024) at her residence in Smethport.

She was born January 21, 1948 in Port Allegany, the daughter of Gordon and Marjorie (Treat) Dudley. On January 7, 1967, in Port Allegany, she married Andre Veilleux, who survives.

Marlene was a 1965 graduate of Port Allegany High School and attended Olean Business Institute, where she received her Associate Degree to be a Paralegal.

She loved baking, cooking, doing puzzles and painting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

Three sons: Andre Roger (Donna) Veilleux of Mt. Jewett, Rick H. (Melissa) Veilleux and Robert A. (Andrea) Veilleux, both of Port Allegany

Grandchildren: Jessica (Cody), Joslynn (Andrew) R.J., Braxx, Kellen, Brock (Makenzie), and Joshua

Great grandchildren: Caden, Vanek, Spencer, J.D., Carey, Ryker and Bristol

One sister: Beth Grossman of Roulette

One brother: Gordon Dudley of Brookville, IN

And several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Kevin Veilleux, and one sister, Mary Ellen Smith.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, beginning with visitation from 10-11:30AM, with services starting at 11:30AM in the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church, with the Rev. Tony Edgell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany
