Port Allegany - Gloria J. Redmond, 81, of Roulette, passed away Saturday (March 1, 2025) at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA.

She was born October 2, 1943 in Coudersport, the daughter of Richard J. and Catherine V. (Ostrum) Bloomer. On February 11, 1967 in Roulette, she married Phillip J. Redmond, who died June 7, 2018.

Gloria was a graduate of Port Allegany High School class of 1961. She worked at 6 Bs Craft Barn, babysat, and took care of many elderly people in the Roulette area.

She enjoyed camping in the Finger Lakes on Lake Lamoka and spending time with her husband, friends, and family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Moose Lodge #460 of Port Allegany and the Roulette Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters: Thrisa (Michael) Borro of Roulette, PA and April (Tim) Quimby of Manchester, PA.

Four grandchildren: Sara and Nicole Borro, Jeffrey Speed and Ariel Quimby

Two sisters: Sharon Baker and Donna (Kevin) McDowell both of Roulette, PA.

And several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Richard J. Bloomer, Jr. and a sister Valetta Knauer.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held at a later time and date to be announced. Burial will be in the Hill Cemetery, Roulette.

Memorials may be made to the Roulette Fire Dept., the Roulette Ambulance Association, the Alzheimer's Association, or the ASPCA.
