Obituary of Aaron Michael Harrier

Port Allegany - Aaron Michael Harrier, 46, of Port Allegany, passed away peacefully on Monday (April 21, 2025) at Sena Kean Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Smethport, after a courageous, yet short, battle with cancer.

He was born March 12, 1979 in Port Allegany, the son of David P. and Jane A. (Bickford) Harrier. On June 11, 2005, in Port Allegany, PA, he married Laurie Jeanne McGinnis. Also daughter Daisy Jane Harrier was born on January 19, 2017.

In addition to his wife, daughter and parents, Aaron is survived by: a sister Heather L. (Shaun) Nance; and nieces and nephews River Cramer, Chloe Cramer, Lily Lehmier, Isla Lehmier, and Holden Nance; all of Port Allegany.

Aaron was a 1997 graduate of Port Allegany High School and had attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Aaron worked as a data analyst for Zito Media of Coudersport, PA. He was a member of the Liberty Lodge F&AM of Port Allegany and the Coudersport Consistory. His passions were video and board gaming, which he shared with his wife and daughter. He also enjoyed a plethora of interests including fishing, cooking, music, painting miniatures, and building computers.

The greatest joy of Aaron's life was providing and caring for his wife and daughter; Laurie is the greatest love of his life, and Daisy will always be his greatest joy. He was grateful to have loving parents that encouraged him to be caring and generous. Aaron was very proud of his nieces and nephews and all of their accomplishments. He met and fell in love with Laurie when they both worked at Adelphia. Aaron's soul was made for lifelong friendships, and he has maintained close bonds with many from his childhood, schooling and throughout his career.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9-11 AM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany, where a Celebration of Aaron’s Life will be held at 11AM following visitation.
