Port Allegany - Christopher A. Safford, 49, of Port Allegany, passed away Thursday (May 15, 2025) at his home in Port Allegany.

He was born October 18, 1975 in Port Allegany, the son of Bernard “Spot” and Virginia “Ginny” Kaziska Safford.

Chris was a graduate of Port Allegany High School Class of 1993. He was employed at the Daily Bread Café in Port Allegany for several years.

He is survived by his father Bernard and mother Virginia Safford, both of Port Allegany

One son: Vai Wimpelberg of Hazel Hurst, PA

One daughter: Kara Safford of Port Allegany

One sister: Angela Green of Port Allegany

And several nieces and nephews

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
