Smethport - Venessa K. Watson, 61, of Smethport, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (July 13, 2025) at her home.
She was born December 7, 1963 in Sacramento, CA, a daughter of Harold F. Miller and Juanita M. (Sturdevant) Bisnett. On December 3, 2005, at Overcomer's Church of Faith, she married Jonathan A. "Josh" Watson, who survives.
Mrs. Watson was a graduate of Smethport High School Class of 1982 and worked several jobs over the years. She was ultimately a home maker, tending to the needs of her family.
She was a former supervisor and director of the McKean County Fair for several years and was an avid bowler. She was a volunteer at the Smethport Fire Hall and had been a cook and waitress for several establishments over the years. She also had worked with the SPCA.

sons: Perry Lee (Nicole) Tanner, Jr. of Smethport and Kenneth J. (Jess) Cleaveland of Mt. Joy, PA
daughters: Rebecca L. Watson of Punxsutawney, PA and Jessica L. Watson of Smethport
stepsons: Jason C. (Sandy) Watson and Jonathan R. (Katie) Watson, both of Smethport, and James A. (Nicole) Watson of Bradford
many grandchildren
a brother: Jack A. Darrin of Smethport
step brother: Gregory Bisnett
one sister: Janice M. (Rick) Stanton of Portville, NY
step sister: Geanne (Larry) Curtin of Tallahassee, FL
and many nieces and nephews
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter F. Miller, two step brothers and one step sister.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of Venessa's life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
