Port Allegany – Anne “Amy” M. Ayers, 73, of Port Allegany, passed away Saturday (August 2, 2025) at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

She was born May 10, 1952 in Port Allegany, the daughter of Daniel and Judith (Petrie) Crowley.

Amy was a graduate of Port Allegany High School class of 1970 and worked at the Market Basket and Shop & Save in Port Allegany, until her retirement.

She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by:

Four sons: Shawn Major, Timothy Major, Ryan Ayers, and Colt Ayers, all of Port Allegany

Grandchildren: Tori & Eli Major, Ashlynn, Rylynn, and Talynn Ayers

Two brothers: Daniel J. Crowley and Andrew J. (Debbra) Crowley, both of Turtlepoint

Several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Crowley, and a sister, Monica Crowley.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sartwell.
