PORT ALLEGANY — Louis N. Fanty, 83, of Port Allegany passed away Tuesday (Oct. 21, 2025) at UPMC Cole, Coudersport.

He was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Philadelphia, the son of Nicholas and Erminie Rossi Fanty. On Feb. 6, 1987,  in Norwood, he married Darlene Blythe, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Fanty was a carpenter, employed by Carpenters Union Local 1050 of Philadelphia.

Mr. Fanty enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by one son, Nicholas (Karen) Fanty of Mesa, Ariz., one daughter, Gina (Robert) McLoughlin of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Regina Fanty of Cleveland, Nicholas (Whitney Vera) Fanty of Gilbert, Ariz., Natalie (Mason) Cummings of Olive Branch, Miss., and Justin (Stephanie) McLoughlin and Robert (Melissa) McLoughlin, both of Philadelphia; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Blair, Zoey and Justin Jr.; stepchildren Dawn (Robert) Walker and Michael Blythe, both in Delaware County; a step-great-grandchild, Brendan Walker; and one sister, Mary Anne Pavoni of Port Allegany. Louis was uncle to Louis (Sandra) Pavoni of Port Allegany, Kirk (Gina) Pavoni of Sicklerville, N.J., Richard (Tamara) Pavoni of Havertown and Denise (George) Sazan of North Bergen, N.J.; and great-uncle to Louis (Ciarra) Pavoni and Nicole Abruzzese.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Albert Pavoni.

There will be no visitation or services at this time. Services will be scheduled at a later date and will be announced.  

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
