Steven L. Faes Obituary

Smethport - Steven L. Faes, 74, of Crosby, passed away Monday (November 3, 2025) at his home, surrounded by his family.


He was born March 17, 1951 in Port Allegany, the son of Lawrence “Cino” and Elizabeth "Betty" (Ross) Faes. On September 6, 1974, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, PA, he married Bonnie M. Dille, who survives.


Steve was a 1969 graduate of Smethport Area High School.


He was a shift supervisor employed by International Waxes, Inc., of Farmers Valley, retiring in 2007.


He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the NRA, Eldred Conservation Club and Keating Sportsman’s Club.


In addition to his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by:


Two sons: Chad S. (Carla) Faes of Chula Vista, CA and Cullen G. (Shannon) Faes of Crosby


Grandchildren: Danny, Torin, Katie, Ashley, Jaxon and Madi


One brother: Lee (Birdie) Faes of Crosby 


He was preceded in death by his parents.


A visitation will be held at the Hilltop Baptist Church in Gifford on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 4-5 PM followed by a memorial service at 5 PM with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating.
