Obituary of Delila V. Taylor

Port Allegany - Delila V. Taylor, 87, of Eldred, passed away Sunday (July 30, 2023) surrounded by her family at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

 

She was born September 28, 1935 in Shinglehouse, she was the daughter of Leon and Ethel (Riddle) Keech. On July 1, 1956, in Eldred, she married Norman C. Taylor, who passed away on July 16, 2014.  

 

Ms. Taylor was a 1953 graduate of Port Allegany High School. She worked for McCrory’s in Bradford and Arby’s in Port Allegany and was a homemaker tending to her family’s needs.

 

She was a member of the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church of Turtlepoint, PA.

 

She is survived by: one son; Clifford (Linda) Taylor of Panama City, FL

Three Grandchildren; Christi (Mark) Helzerman of Papua, New Guinea, Tracy (Sean) Wright of Punta Gorda, FL and Sarah (Jason) Redmon of Dayton, OH

Sixteen Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren

One brother; Gerald Keech  Hattiesburg, MS and one sister; Thelma Murphy of Olean, NY.

Along with several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman, six brothers and four sisters.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday August 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Tony Edgell, officiating. Burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
