Obituary of Peggy Brougham

Smethport - Peggy Brougham, 79, of Bradford, formerly of Willow St., Smethport, died Saturday (August 6, 2016) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford. She was born May 4, 1937 in Bradford, a daughter of William M. and Anna M. Beck Kenneson. On May 8, 1965, in Bradford, PA, she married Milford A. Brougham, Jr., who died December 6, 2012. Mrs. Brougham was a graduate of Bradford Area High School. She was a housewife for all her life, but she had also worked at Sena Kean Manor and at Stone's Manor, now Lakeview Sr. Care & Living Ctr., both of Smethport. She was also a foster parent for many years. Peggy enjoyed Helen Steiner Rice poems, Christian music, Country classics, children, carpentry, painting, wallpapering, gardening, playing cards, crafts, old movies, and especially, Christmas movies. She is survived by: three daughters: Tina Brougham of Smethport, Patricia Brougham of Bradford, and Debra (Joe) Lathrop of Fairmont, WV two sons: Steven (Anne) Brougham of Bradford, and David Gallup of Westline. 12 grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by an infant brother. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at 11:00 am from the McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Lucky Cat Rescue, 200 Main St., Bradford, PA 16701.
