Obituary of Bessie F. Henry

Smethport - Bessie F. Henry, 74, of Coleville, died Saturday (August 4, 2012) at The Pavilion at BRMC, Bradford. She was born Jan 26, 1938 in DuBois, PA, a daughter of Joseph Houston and Bertha M. Pierce Parris. On July 24, 1976, in Coleville, PA, she married William C. "Bill" Henry, who died June 16, 2007. Mrs. Henry was employed by Ethan Allen Company of Eldred as a seamstress. She then had her own upholstery business she operated from her home in Coleville for many years. She was a home-body, and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her dog "Fluffy". She is survived by: A nephew, whom she raised as a son, Edward (Darlene) Parris, Jr. of Bradford two step daughters: Judy of Ridgway and Lois of Mt. Jewett two "Grandsons": Joshua and Jared Parris of Bradford; 1 Step-Grandson and 4 Step-Granddaughters, several step-great grandchildren three brothers: Melvin Parris of Bradford, Earl Parris of Indiana, PA, and Edward Parris, Sr. of Olean, NY one sister: Donna Brewer of Port Allegany, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Private family services will be held on Wednesday at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Smethport Fire Dept., P.O.
