Harriett was my typing and shorthand teacher in 1961. She also oversaw the production of the Flash, the Smethport High School newspaper at that time. She was a wonderful teacher and a friend to many of my family members. I always really enjoyed talking with her. So sorry to hear of her passing!

Learned how to type and do shorthand from this lovely lady. I still can use those skills after all of these years. I have fond memories of her and was glad that I was one of her students.

Harriet was unique and special. I was always captivated by her teaching talents& her kindness . Now I realize , as a sharpshooter , she excelled! I am not surprised . She was a pioneer in so many ways and I admired her tenacity and fortitude . May you rest peacefully, Harriet, you made a difference in many of our lives.

Fabulous teacher. I typed up the Crossword Puzzle every week for the FLASH Newspaper. I think we sold them for a nickel each. Those were the days my Friend!!
Somebody told me they saw her not long ago running around full of energy in her red sneakers.......WOW.....

Miss Rockefeller taught so many of us. I use the typing skills I learned from her daily and have appreciated her kindness to my family over the years. One of my fondest memories is the touch typing tests we had to do with the a towel over the keyboard. She was firm but we wanted to please her. Her teaching legacy lives on.
