Obituary - Kenneth C. Dudley ____________________________________________________________________________Port Allegany - Kenneth C. "Gummy" Dudley, 87, of Port Allegany, died Friday (January 16, 2009) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.He was born Feb 5, 1921 in Port Allegany, a son of McClellan and Ora Maine Dudley. On January 5, 1945, in Port Allegany, PA, he married Betty Jane Werts, who died on June 24, 1973. He then married Cleda Hovey-Fink, in Port Allegany, on February 2, 1974. She survives.Mr. Dudley was employed by the Pierce Glass Co., now St. Gobain, for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He also worked as a grave digger in several local cemeteries for many years.He was a member of the Port Allegany Ambulance Association, where he was also a former ambulance driver, Life Member of the Port Allegany Star Hose Co. No 1, the Port Allegany Special Police, and was a former Deputy Sheriff.In addition to his wife, he is survived bytwo daughters: Donna Dudley of Port Allegany, PA, Carolyn Parris of Smethport, PA 2 Step Sons: Lloyd Fink of Port Allegany, PA; Edward Fink of TX; 2 step daughters: Leona Ostrum of Emporium, PA; Vera Stuckey of Smethport, PA.8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild13 step grandchildren, and many step great grandchildrenone brother: Gordon Dudley of Roulette, PAseveral nieces and nephewsIn addition to his parents, and first wife, he was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Cleda Marie Dudley and Devon Parris, and 1 brotherVisitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held on Monday at 11AM, with the Rev. Michael Culver, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in the Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.Memorials may be made to Port Allegany Ambulance Service, or the Port Allegany Star Hose Co.Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, Port Allegany.
