Obituary of Janice Louise Tessena

Smethport - Janice Louise Tessena, 63, of Woodland, Miss., died Friday (January 30, 2009) at her residence.She was born Nov 10, 1945 in Monroe, LA, a daughter of Richard A. and Jewel V. Aswell Hyde. On June 28, 2002, in Marion County, Alabama, she married Terry Tessena, who survives.Mrs. Tessena was a graduate of Smethport High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh, PA.She was a Pharmacy Technician, employed by North Mississippi Medical Center for the last 14 years, working in infusion services.She was a national member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, and the VFW Post #2497 Auxillary of Smethport, PAIn addition to her father and her husband, she is survived byfour sons: Richard J. Hyde of Little Rock, AR, Terry Tessena of Woodbridge, VA, Bruce Tessena of Medina, OH, Jason B. Tessena of Bradford, PA13 grandchildentwo sisters: Rebecca Lee Crowell of Pataskala,OH, Audrey Berne of Smethport, PAand several nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her mother.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 2-4 and 6-8, at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Schmitt, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
