Obituary of Ruth V. Dillenbeck

Smethport - Ruth V. Dillenbeck, 82, of Smethport, went to be with the Lord, Sunday (February 22, 2009) at the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport. She was born Feb 11, 1927 in Ludlow, a daughter of Arthur and Bertha Keller Larson. On January 9, 1954 , in Kane, PA, she married Ralph E. Dillenbeck, who died May 19, 1969. Mrs. Dillenbeck was a 1945 graduate of Ludlow High School and a graduate of Green Lane Assembly's of God Bible College. She was employed by the Penn State Extension office as a nutritional aid. She was a member of Valley Worship Center, Farmers Valley, where she had perfect attendance for over 50 years. She served as Breakfast Cook for many years at the Oswayo Bible Camp. She also volunteered at Sena Kean Manor for 17 years. She was always willing to help her family, friends, and neighbors. She is survived by one son: Alan (Kris) Dillenbeck of Mt. Jewett, PA one daughter: Cynthia (John) Andrews of Carlisle, PA 5 grandchildren: Mike and Mark Dillenbeck, Nathan, Zachary, and Joy Andrews 1 step granddaughter: Connie Sommers 1 great granddaughter; 3 step great grandsons four sisters: Doris Malm, Mildred Johnson, Lucille Swedenjhalm, and Joyce Reinard all of Kane, PA one brother: Robert Larson of Lansing, MI; and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 AM, in the Valley Worship Center, Farmers Valley, with Pastor Leonard Eastman, Pastor David Eastman, and Pastor Ronald Frazier, officiating.
