Port Allegany - Althea C. Angell, 74, of Port Allegany, died Monday (March 23, 2009) at her residence in Port Allegany.She was born Feb 12, 1935 in Troy, NY, a daughter of Edward and Alice B. Legacy O'Neil. On January 9, 1971, in Smethport, PA, she married George B. Angell, who died April 3, 1996.Mrs. Angell was a graduate of Troy High School, Troy, NY.Mrs. Angell was a Stenographic Supervisor, employed by ATT Public Relation Dept.She was a member of American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 6391 of Port Allegany; St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Port Allegany.She is survived byone son: Cory (Vicki) Angell of Fredericksburg, PAone sister: Margaret "Peggy" Moran of Burnt Hills, NYstep son, Fred (Sheri) Angell of Bradford, PA; Step Son, Christopher (Michelle) Angell of Bradford, PA; Step Son, Kenyon (Laura) Angell of Smethport, PA.11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildIn addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday in St Gabriel's Church with the Rev. John J. Murphy as celebrant. A Christian Wake service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30pm.
