Obituary of Angela C. Rizzotte

Smethport - Angela C. "Ann" Rizzotte, 89, of Smethport, passed away on Tuesday (April 7, 2009), after a lengthy illness, at her residence in Smethport. She was born July 22, 1919 in West Grove, PA, a daughter of Leonardo and Maria Russo Ciotti. On August 28, 1940, in West Grove, PA, she married Dr. Samuel H. Rizzotte, Sr., who died May 1, 1997. They were married for 56 years. Mrs. Rizzotte was a graduate of Avon Grove High School, and was a homemaker, caring for the needs of her family. She was a great cook, avid reader, enjoyed gardening, boating, golfing, and travel. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church of Smethport. She is survived by two sons: Peter (special friend Diane King) Rizzotte of Smethport, PA, Samuel (Mary Lou) Rizzotte, Jr. of Springfield, OH; 4 grandchildren and spouses: Jody, Samuel (Christie) III, Daniel (Paige), and Russell 7 great grandchildren: Melia, Devin, Kayla, Michael, Ethan, Isabella, and Cecelia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, and a Mass of Christian Burial will also be held on Tuesday, at 10 A.M., at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.
