Obituary - Nellie Elangentine Cornelius ____________________________________________________________________________Port Allegany - Nellie Elangentine Cornelius, 88, of Port Allegany, died Thursday (April 16, 2009) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford.She was born Mar 23, 1921 in Turtlepoint, a daughter of William Joseph and Nellie Irene Peters Elliott, On Jan.31, 1938 in Mt. Jewett, PA she married Herman Estes (Snuffy) Cornelius, who died April 8, 1986.Mrs. Cornelius lived most of her life in Roulette, Pa, where she and her husband "Estes" raised their 7 children. They moved to Port Allegany, Pa, 1966 where they lived for a few years and later moved to the Bradford area. Nellie moved back to Port Allegany in 2007. Her last place of employment was at the Bradford Hospital Housekeeping Department.Nellie was a strong, but loving and giving person. She enjoyed her family, cooking, traveling and reading. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. When things were difficult she showed us strength, with love. She will be missed more than one could every express. She will always be with us; her memory will live on in our hearts.She is survived byTwo daughters: Juanita (Joseph) Knell of Port Allegany, PA, Mary Elangentine Cornelius of Turtlepoint, PA four sons: David (Naomi) Cornelius of Derrick City, PA, Frankie (Juanita) Cornelius of Mt. Jewett, PA, Lewis Cornelius of Bradford, PA, Stanley E. Cornelius of Port Allegany, PAsister-in-law, Alice Elliott of East Smethport, PA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Tyler of Austin, PA; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bonneau of Coudersport, PA; 28 Grandchildren; 58 Great Grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Cornelius was preceded in death by parents, husband, a son Thomas Cornelius, 2 grandsons, 4 great grandsons and 1 great great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 12 PM to 2 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, Pa., and then a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness Hall, 20892 Rt. 6, Port Allegany with Clint Connell officiating.
