Obituary of Glenna L. Austin

Smethport - Glenna L. Austin, 69, of Leechburg, PA, passed away Monday (October 15, 2018) in St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.

 

 

She was born Jan. 6, 1949 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Glenn and Marjorie Lushbaugh Minnier.  On Jan. 22, 1994, in Bradford, PA, she married Robert E. Austin, who died Sept. 13, 1998.

 

 

Mrs. Austin was a graduate of Smethport High School Class of 1966.

 

 

Glenna attended Bradford Nursing School and worked in nursing for a period of time. She worked as a waitress for many years, and lastly as a “Nanny” for her family.

 

 

Glenna loved children and her family and was very devoted to them.

 

 

She is survived by:

Her “Love Mom”, who raised her since she was 12 years old, Marilyn Minnier of Oakmont, PA

One son: Bradley Bigley of Bradford

One daughter: Brenda Frank of Cheektowaga, NY

Step daughter: Brenda Austin of Cattaraugus, NY

One brother: Raymond (Gloria) Bigley of Smethport

One sister: Tamra Minnier of Oakmont, PA

One grandchild: Stephanie (Richard) Nielsen of Indiana, PA

three great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Madison and James

two nephews: Seth Merryman and Robert Bigley

one niece: Sarah Akinde

 

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step daughter, Bobbi Jo (Bo) Austin and her long-time companion, Bruce Cline.                                                      .

 

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-11 AM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Brest, officiating.  Burial will be in Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove, PA.
