I just became aware of Mr Lawrence’s passing and wanted to send my condolences. He was such a fantastic teacher at BRCS. We all loved him and looked forward to when we would get to have him as our substitute teacher.

Mr. Lawrence was one of the best educators that I had the honor of learning from. He was my interim science teacher and interim Spanish teacher at Port Allegany High School. Lessons with Mr. Lawrence were impactful, because he preached life. He taught experiences. Just like everyone else has mentioned, he was a sociology teacher at heart. His lessons mean even more to me as the adult I am today. I am saddened of your passing, not only for your family, but also for the future students who will never get to learn from such a wonderful soul. You will be greatly missed.

Life is too short. Ron substituted in our school district. We used to have some great academic discussions and fun social conversations. We exchanged contact information when I retired, but I regret that we never got together. Condolences to the family.

Mr. Lawrence was truly a wonderful person. I always enjoyed seeing him as our substitute in Port Allegany. He and I would always share stories back and forth to pass time. He gave me a quote to remember "Anyone who praises you for a quality you do not have, is trying to remove one which you possess ." I always remembered it, and would remind him everytime I saw him in and around the community. He was truly a special person, and will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Lawrence was one of the best people I've ever met during his time substituting at our school he taught me so much more then school subjects...he would tell us girls to know our worth and not take crap from anyone he always had a meaningful quote and a listening ear with great advise for anyone who needed ..he encouraged and helped me start a debate club at school... I'll remember him always for being the the kind of person that was the reason for kids to feel important and be good people a true angel on earth I'll never forget him..

Mr Lawrence was truly an amazing man who touched many students lives. He was one of my favorite substitute teacher's, I knew going into a classroom that he was in I wouldn't miss a day of education. He always made sure we learned and grew as a student and a human. He was a very intelligent, kind, compassionate, and strict person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, God has an Angel.
