Smethport - Kenneth G. "Red" Moore, 75, of Clermont, died Thursday (September 24, 2009) in the Hamot Medical Center, Erie.He was born April 5, 1934 in Shawmut, a son of George W. and Mildred Josephine Himes Moore. On August 2, 1952, in Mt. Jewett, PA, he married Shirley Thompson, who survives.Mr. Moore attended Lafayette Schools, and was employed at Dresser Manufacturing of Bradford for 31 years. He also owned and operated Moore's Disposal, which he ran in Sergeant Twp., Hazel Hurst, and Mt. Jewett.He was a member of the Clermont Fire Department, Mt. Jewett Ambulance Association, and the Clermont Sportsman's Club.In addition to his wife, he is survived bytwo daughters: Cheryl (Paul) Button of Rixford, PA, Patty Miller of Clermont, PA one son: Kenneth G. "Bud" (Lori) Moore, Jr. of Eldred, PA, and 6 GrandchildrenMr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents.There will be no visitation or services.
