Obituary of A. Jean Sellers

Smethport - A. Jean Sellers, 79, of Smethport, died Sunday (October 4, 2009) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford.She was born Sept. 24, 1930 in Hilliards, PA, a daughter of William G. and Miriam Ferguson Cupples. On May 6, 1949, in Petrolia, PA, she married James L. Sellers, Sr., who died May 23, 2003.Mrs. Sellers was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and worked for Backus Co. of Smethport for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, the Nurture Committee, Sena Kean Volunteers, and was a volunteer at the Pink Elephant of Smethport.She is survived bytwo daughters: Karen Sellers of Smethport, PA, Deborah (Jerome) Dragoone of Glenshaw, PA one son: James L. Sellers, Jr. of Smethport, PAGrandchildren, Jerome Dragoone, Jr., Jonathan Dragoone, Brittany Dragoone great grandchildren, Zachary, Tristan, Brooklynn.two sisters: Louise Hilliards and Margaret Hilliards of Hilliards, PAIn addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, 1 brother, and 1 sister.Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday, at 11 A.M., with the Rev. Bob George, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
