Obituary of Ronald Gilbert Amell

Port Allegany - Ronald Gilbert Amell, 89 of Port Allegany passed away Wednesday December 23, 2020 in the Forbes Hospital, Monroeville PA.

Ron was born July 13, 1931 in Port Allegany. He was the son of Gilbert and Helen Pearson Amell.

 

Ron graduated from the Port Allegany High School in 1950. He served honorably in the air force from 1952-1956. He was briefly employed by the Pierce Glass and Extract Tannery in Port Allegany before retiring as a carpenter from the Lakehurst NJ naval base. On March 29, 1958 he married Aime Tampuu.

 

Ron is survived by a sister Sallyann R Foster, a granddaughter Pamela Amell and two great grandsons Jaidan and Jordan (Howell NJ), nieces Kimberly Butterfield (Katy TX) and Kristi Freeman (Port Allegany) and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son (Ronald Amell Jr.) and sister (Marjorie Amell Conway).

 

Following Ron’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.
