Smithmyer, 52, of Port Allegany, died Wednesday (October 14, 2009).He was born July 10, 1957 in Key West, FL a son of Leo G. and Jean Hesser Smithmyer, in 1987 in Maryland, he married Linda Lee Cromheecke, who survives.Mr. Smithmyer was a 1975 graduate of Port Allegany High School. Mr. Smithmyer was a Machine Operator, employed by Pittsburg Corning since 1979 and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his daughter Kristin.In addition to his wife, and Mother of Port Allegany he is survived byOne daughter: Kristin R Smithmyer of Port Allegany, PA One sister: Dreda Smithmyer of Port Allegany, PATwo brothers: Lee Smithmyer of Hawaii and Kurt Smithmyer of Port Allegany, PASeveral Aunts, Uncles and CousinsHe was preceded in death by his father Following Mr. Smithmyer wishes there will be no visitation.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 Main St. Port Allegany, with the Rev. James Campbell, pastor, of St.Gabriel's Church, officiating.
