Obituary of Russell Dale Walker

Smethport - Russell D. "Rusty" Walker, 57, of Clermont, passed away as a result of an auto accident on Tuesday (January 5, 2021).

He was born Sept. 6, 1963 in St. Marys, a son of Robert Dale and Susan Grace Goodreau Walker.

Rusty was a 1981 graduate of Smethport Area High School.  Rusty started, owned and operated Walker Construction & Excavation. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his wood shop, and tinkering with his old cars. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face or offering a helping hand to anyone in need. 

He was a member of the Hazel Hurst Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, both of Clermont, he is survived by:

Three daughters:  Samantha (Brian) Walker-Bowers of Smethport, Rebecca Walker of Kane, and Andrea Walker of Clermont.

Two grandchildren:  Sutton and Layton Bowers.

Three sisters:  Brenda Walker of Clermont, Lori Walker of Inman, SC, and Christine (Dennis) Saulsgiver of Kane, along with nieces and nephew, Emily, Olivia and Joshua, and great-niece and nephew, Khloe and Kaysen. 

Visitation will be held privately with the family. Burial will be at the Clermont Cemetery, Clermont.

A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held at the Mount Jewett Sportsman’s club on Saturday, January 9th from 1 PM - ?. Friends and family are welcome to come pay their respects.
