Obituary of Dolores Ann Caldwell

Smethport - Dolores Ann Caldwell, 89, of Smethport, passed away Friday (January 22, 2021) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

 

She was born Oct. 3, 1931 in Corning, NY, a daughter of William and Mildred Hammond Walters.  On May 24, 1952, at St. Bibiana Church of Galeton, PA, she married Bernard T. Caldwell, who died Aug. 21, 2015.

 

Dolores attended Ulysses schools and held several jobs over the years, ultimately retiring from Backus Company of Smethport.

 

She is survived by:

Two sons:  Mark W. Caldwell of Smethport and Clark (Deb) Caldwell of Uniontown, PA

One daughter:  Linda (Steven) Hendrickson of Smethport

Seven grandchildren:  Jennifer (Ronnie) Hollowell, Cory Hendrickson, Jamy, Matthew, Christopher and Nicholas (Desiree) Caldwell, Katie (Matt) Fitzsimmons

Great grandchildren:  Hannah, Nathan, and Aidan Hollowell; Deacon and Beccah Hendrickson; Owen and Piper Fitzsimmons; Braxton, Tein, Summer, Vania, Brazon, Grayden and Zeke Caldwell

One sister:  Monna Adams of Kingsley, PA

And several nieces and nephews.

 

In addtion to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Kelly Ann Caldwell; one brother, Graydon Walters; one sister, Ardith Schonwalder.

 

At Dolores’ request, there will be no services.  Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery of Galeton, PA.
