Obituary of Jay Douglas Lickliter
Smethport - Jay Douglas "Jaybird" Lickliter, 76, of Smethport, passed away peacefully Tuesday (April 13, 2021) at residence in Smethport, PA.
He was born February 14, 1945 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Robert Paul and Rosalie Barrickman Lickliter.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Mr. Lickliter was a master carpenter and craftsman.
He is survived by:
Two daughters: Kimberly Lickliter of Cheektowaga, NY and Melissa Blumberg of West Seneca, NY
Three Grandchildren: Jade Marie Massimi, Jacob Blumberg and Sarah Blumberg
One brother: John Quentin Lickliter of Albuquerque, NM
One sister: Jenifer (Pat) Collins of West Chester, PA
A sister-in-law: Ginny Lickliter of Wayland, NY
Several nieces and nephews
And dearest friends: Savannah Barr, Stephanie Smith, Brad Garrett and Jose Rivera
In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by three brothers: Jim, Jeff and Joe Lickliter.
A celebration of Jay’s life will be held on Saturday, May 15, at 2 PM at “Old Town Smethport” on Mechanic and Water St., Smethport, PA.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
