Obituary of Francis R. Puller

Smethport - Francis R. Puller, 89, of Smethport, formerly of Rew, passed away on Thursday (April 22, 2021) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

He was born July 26, 1931 in Olean, NY, the son of Glassell and Helen Kelly Puller . In Olean, NY, he married Gloria J. Means, who died June 11, 2017.  They were married 68 years.

Mr. Puller was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School.  He first was employed by the former Tidewater Oil Company.  He then worked for Penelec for 31 ½ years, retiring on May 31, 1990.

Fran was a member of the Bradford Union Lodge #749 F&AM, the Coudersport Consistory, and the Orak Grotto of Bradford.

He is survived by:

two sons:  Blaine (Donna) Puller of Smethport and Roy (Jodi) Puller of Williamsport PA.

five grandchildren:  Jessica Ward, Justin Puller, Brent Puller, Ethan and Kaycee Puller

six great-grandchildren:  Wynn Puller, Eva Ward, Alanna Puller, Ainsley Puller, Rachel Ward and Silas Puller

one brother:  Lawrence Puller of Parkville, MD

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Fran was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Burns, one son, Raymond Puller, and two grandsons, Kurt Puller and Clint Puller.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11AM to 1 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, where funeral services will begin at 1 PM with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Hinsdale Cemetery, Hinsdale, NY.  A Masonic service will be conducted at the funeral home at the beginning of services.
