Obituary of Ardis M. Lewis

Cyclone—Ardis M. “Ardy” Lewis, 91, of Cyclone, passed away Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021, at Sena Kean Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on May 26, 1930, she was a daughter to Ralph and Ida Hinchman Niver.  On February 2, 1962, she married the late Warriner “Rebel” Lewis, who passed away on February 14, 2013.

She was a 1948 graduate of Bradford High School.  She was a member of the Hilltop Fire Dept. Auxillary, the Red Hats, and loved entertaining her neighbors, friends and family in her pavilion on the hilltop.  She worked for nearly forty years at Zippo Manufacturing, prior to her retirement.

Surviving are two sons:  Joe Blair of Belmont, NY and Jeff (Trudi) Blair of Smethport; two sisters:  Jean Jordan of Garland, TX and Wilda Boltz of New Port Richey, FL; eight grandchildren, Rob (Amanda) Blair, Dan Blair, Allie (Nate Becker) Blair, Chris (Victoria) Blair, Kelly Williams, Jennifer Blair and Tim Blair; three great-grandchildren, Noah Becker, Gavin and Mason Blair, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Cynthia Blair, a son, Edward H. Lewis; three sisters:  Audrey, Ruth and Wynona; four brothers:  Alan, Keith, Richard and Ward.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 5th, from 3-4 PM at Hilltop Baptist Church, Gifford, where funeral and committal services will begin at 4 PM with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
