Obituary of Elena M. Snyder

Smethport - Elena M. “Babe” Snyder, 99, of Smethport, died Thursday (June 24, 2021) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport.

She was born March 23, 1922 in Smethport, the daughter of Fred and Pauline (Pearson) Milroy. In 1939  she married Eugene A. Nick who died in 1956.

On May 11, 1963 she married  Rayburn J. Snyder who died in 1984.

 

Mrs. Snyder was a graduate of Smethport High School and attended beauty School in Bradford. She was the owner and operator of Elena's Beauty Shop in Smethport.

 

  She is survived by Two daughters; Terri (William) Jarrett and Cathleen Kleisath both of Smethport.

One son; Roger (Karen) Nick of Camp Hill, PA

Five Grandchildren; Troy (Camala) Kleisath, Chad (Shannon) Kleisath, Jessica (Michael) McKeirnan, Kellie (Ryan) Yingling and Nathan Nick.

 Eight Great Grandchildred; Lucas and Jack Kleisath, Elena and Anna McKeirnan and Kendall, Rylan, Greyson and Andrew Yingling.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a daughter Sandy Nick, a brother Ernest Milroy and a sister Phyllis Daniels.

 

There will be no visitation or services at this time.  Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Smethport.
