A Tribute to my brother Harold
Together more than 80 years,
most filled with laughter, seldom tears.
As kids we lived out blessed dreams,
when time was baseball, fields and streams.
But then we built our separate lives,
when time was jobs and kids and wives.
To soon old age came last not best,
now time is doctors, pills and rest.
All aches and pains require an answer,
then time stood still when you said cancer.
My mind repeats a mournful sound,
“He’s lost to soon, and to late found.”
So go now to the Lord above you,
remembering how much I love you.
