Port Allegany - Genevieve L. Taylor, 88, of Smethport, formerly of Port Allegany, died Friday (July 9, 2021) at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport. She was born November 30, 1932 in Machias, the daughter of Edward. and Lena (Hopkins) Roblee . On Oct 3, 1959, in Machias, NY, she married Richard E. Taylor, who died Oct. 30, 1999 . Mrs. Taylor attended Machias Schools and was a homemaker attending to the needs of her family. She worked for the Ontario Knife Co. in Franklinville, NY and as a cook for the Ideal Restaurant in Port Allegany. She was a member of the Machias American Legion and the Port Allegany Moose Club 460. She is survived by son Darrell R.Taylor of Port Allegany PA. and a sister Alice Jimbrone of Dundee FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband three brothers and three sisters. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
