Smethport - Elizabeth J. Hogestyn, 81, of Smethport, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (October 5, 2021) at home. She was born April 6, 1940 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Henry and Edna Gerkin. Elizabeth was employed by Eastman Kodak Co. of Rochester, NY before moving to the area. She was a home-body, tending to the needs of her family. She is survived by: one daughter: Lori (Jason Vossler) Brock of Smethport one son: David Hogestyn of Florida four grandchildren: Marisa, Zack, Brittany and Brianna one great grandchild: K. C. James and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
