Obituary of Wanda L. Shelley
Smethport - Wanda L. Shelley, 72, of Smethport, passed away Wednesday (November 10, 2021) at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 26, 1949 in Olean, NY, the daughter of Hamilton Rounsville and Arlena Canfield Rounsville . On April 15, 1967, in Farmers Valley, she married Kenneth Richard Shelley, who survives.
Wanda attended Smethport Area schools. She worked several jobs over the years. She worked for AVX in Olean, Jaguar in Smethport and for Arby’s in Port Allegany, and lastly at Myra’s Restaurant in Smethport. She ultimately was a housewife, tending to the needs of her family.
Wanda loved her flower garden, her and Ken’s farm and raising animals there, and most of all, her family.

Three sons: Kenneth E. (Teresa) Shelley of Rew, John A. (Jackie) Shelley of Eldred, and Chad F. (Kayla) Shelley of Smethport
Two daughters: Deanna L. (Rich Dubetsky) Shelley and Brenda L. (Dave) Keesler, both of Smethport
12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren
Two brothers: Dale (Sue) Rounsville of Eldred and Ricky (Tammy) Rounsville of Farmers Valley
One sister: Edwina (Bob) Freer of Eldred
And several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one infant grandchild, Chrystal Keesler, one infant brother, Tom Rounsville, and one sister, Frances Cochran.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, where funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1 PM with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.
