Obituary of Alton E. Nofsker, Jr.

Shinglehouse - Alton E. Nofsker, Jr., 52, of Shinglehouse, passed away Tuesday (November 16, 2021) at UPMC-Hamot, Erie. 

He was born December 15, 1968 in Bradford, the son of Alton E. Nofsker, Sr. On Oct. 3, 2009, in the Bells Run Church, he married Charlene Heffner Nofsker, who survives. 

Mr. Nofsker was an Oven Operator, employed by Stroehmann’s Bread, in Olean NY.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his side by side. He loved animals but most of all he enjoyed playing with his grand babies. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Two sons; Alton E (Stephanie) Nofsker III of Port Matilda and Brandon Messinia of North Carolina

Three Daughters; Katelynn (Duane) Baker of Genesee, PA, Alison Nofsker of Shinglehouse and Angela (Gerry) Frederick of North Carolina

Five grandchildren; Emily and Matthew Nofsker, Alexandra and Drake Baker and Hope Baker due in January.

One brother; Michael (Heather) Nofsker of Newville          

Three sisters; Deanna (Matthew) Maxson of Shinglehouse and Iva Farnham of

Crockett, TX and Michele (Frank)

A special sister Karen Barkley Holler of Warren, OH.

One brother-in-law Bruce Heffner of Turtlepoint.

Several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and father-in-law Gardenia and George Young and a brother-in-law Bradley Heffner

There will be no visitation or services at this time.
