Smethport - Marlene D. Conn, 68, of Smethport, passed away Tuesday (January 4, 2022) at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

 

She was born May 15, 1953 in Olean, the daughter of Lowell Austin and Louise Young. On Oct. 13, 1973, in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Smethport, she married Paul E. Conn, who survives.

 

Marlene was a graduate of Smethport High School Class of 1971 and attended beauty school.  She was a cook for many years, along with being a florist.  Her last employment was with The Corner Bistro in Smethport.

 

She was a member of the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 Auxiliary of Smethport, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Smethport and was an avid Disney lover and collector.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

One son:  Casey P. (Kimberley) Conn of Smethport

One granddaughter:  Chloe Conn of Smethport

Two sisters:  Ethel (Tom) Coldren of Smethport and Cindy (Mike) Longstaff of Port Allegany

And several nieces and nephews

 

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

 

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a future date.

 

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 Auxiliary of Smethport or St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Smethport.  Online condolences may be made at www.hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com.
