Obituary of John R. Boyd

Port Allegany- John R. Boyd, 78, of Roulette, passed away Tuesday (January 4, 2022) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.

 

He was born September 25, 1943 in Coudersport, the son of Casper and Beatrice (Kio) Boyd. In October of 1966, he married Mary Kay Pesock, who survives.

 

John was a graduate of Coudersport High School and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.

 

Mr. Boyd was a field engineer for National Fuel Gas out of Beachhill, NY.

 

John enjoyed fishing, fly tying, painting, wood carving, crossword puzzles, and word searches.  He loved studying the Bible.  His biggest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

One daughter:  Stacy Boyd of Port Allegany

Two sons:  John (Tammy) Boyd of Port Allegany and Josh Boyd of Genessee, PA

10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren

One brother:  Willard Boyd of Coudersport

And several nieces and nephews

 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Dawn McManus.

 

In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time.
