Obituary of Betty L. Knapp
Smethport - Betty L. Knapp, 85, of Crosby, passed away Friday (February 18, 2022) at her residence.
She was born January 3, 1937 in Smethport, the daughter of Carl H. and Kellela Smith Berg. On March 7, 1953, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Smethport, she married Richard F. Knapp, who passed away in 1984.
Betty was a Smethport High School graduate and worked as the head cook for Cole Manor in Coudersport, PA before her retirement.
She is survived by:
One daughter: Cheryl Knapp-Barber of Crosby
Two sons: Dort (Cindy) Knapp of Port Allegany and Ronald (Lorie) Knapp of Eldred
18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren
Two sisters: Donna Master and Diane Peace, both of Frost Proof, FL
And several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Avery M. Shavalier, two sons, Richard Knapp and David Knapp, and two brothers, Carl Berg and Arthur Berg.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
