Obituary of Randall E. Bootes

Smethport - Randall E. “Randy” Bootes, Sr., 58, of Hazel Hurst, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (February 22, 2022).

He was born September 18, 1963 in Erie, the son of Ronald C. Bootes, Sr. and Phyllis Fagan Bootes .

He attended Harbor Creek Schools.  Randy was employed at Highlander Energy of Kane.

Randy was an avid race fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen Club, the Wilcox Sportsmen Club, Mt. Jewett Sons of the American Legion and was heavily involved with the “Fishin’ Kids Club” of Hazel Hurst, PA.

In addition to his father, Ronald Bootes, Sr., he is survived by:

Two sons:  Randall “Randy” E. (Krista) Bootes, Jr. of Smethport and Joseph A. Bootes of Hazel Hurst

Four grandchildren:  Brysen, Brylar, and Aubree Bootes and Oaklee Barr

Longtime girlfriend: Traci Hanscom of Bellefonte, PA and her son, Brock Hanscom

Three sisters:  Ruby L. Morosky, Pamela J. Swiatek, and Rebecca L. Bootes

Four brothers:  Robert R. Hill, Ronald “Charlie” Bootes, Jr., Richard J. Bootes and Rodney P. Bootes

And several nieces and nephews

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Fagan Bootes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport.
